Stroud hasn't had a BMX track since 1990, we want to change that!
Lets give our kids the cycling freedom we enjoyed when we were young, riding bikes is an important part of a child's development. Kids today spend half the time their parents did playing outside! Having a local BMX track is a great opportunity to get kids away from computer games, internet and TV, and into an active lifestyle that can start a strong life-long passion for wheeled sports, BMX, Mountain Bike, Scooter etc, and a great way to make new friends. What is a pump track? A ‘pump track’ is basically a scaled down BMX track that’s designed for having fun and learning new skills, rather than racing. It's a circuit of rolling bumps, table-top jumps, and bermed corners, designed to be ridden continuously without pedalling by using weight shifts (pumping) and gravity, and great for developing skills and improving technique The aim is for it to be suitable and challenging for all ages and abilities on all types of wheels, childrens bikes, BMX's, mountain bikes, skateboards and inline skates. |
